39 Days of Mercy: Day 24 – Oneness

Perfected and Completed into One

Oneness is one of the most passionate requests Jesus made to the Father concerning all believers.
He asked:

“That they all may be one; just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe [without any doubt] that You sent Me. I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me, that they may be perfected and completed into one, so that the world may know [without any doubt] that You sent Me, and [that You] have loved them, just as You have loved Me.”
~
John 17:21-23

What a powerful gift of mercy to be one with the Lord and each other! Oneness is the very character and nature of God; the Father Son and Spirit are ONE — it is His heart and sheer delight to draw us into sweet fellowship and powerful partnership with Him and with each other.

The Power of Unity

The power of unity is huge. If we look at the Tower of Babel account, the unrighteous in unity built something so powerful that God had to disperse them. How much more will we build the Kingdom of Heaven on earth when we ask the Father to help us to be truly one – as His Church Family (Ephesians 3:14-16) — the Ekklesia.

Jesus said, ‘For Your love will now live in them, even as I live in them!’
~ John 17:26b

That is the indwelling anointing of the fullness of God’s love by Holy Spirit that we have full agreement.

I urge you, my brothers and sisters, for the sake of the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to agree to live in unity with one another and put to rest any division that attempts to tear you apart. Be restored as one united body living in perfect harmony. Form a consistent choreography among yourselves, having a common perspective with shared values.’
~ 1 Corinthians 1:10 TPT

Anointing for Oneness

There is an anointing for ‘oneness’ that came to followers of Jesus at Pentecost when they were filled with the Holy Spirit and had tongues of fire on them. The change was tangible: they had one heart and one mind! This resulted in continuous salvations for others.

Day by day continuing with one mind in the temple,
and
breaking bread from house to house,
they were taking their
meals together with gladness and sincerity of heart,
praising God and having favor with all the people.
And the Lord
was adding to their number day by day those who were being saved.
~ Acts 2:46-47 TPT

There is a Holy Spirit anointing oil for oneness being poured out on us all, His royal priesthood, just like it was given to the priests (one who intercedes) in Psalm 133.
As we dwell together in unity, He commands the blessing of prosperity and life forevermore.

Divisions are not of God

The enemy loves to divide and conquer!

“But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them:
“Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation,
and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.”
~
Matthew 12:25

For too long, the Christians have been in division and have become weakened in our influence as the body of Christ to politicians. Politicians say: “You Christians don’t realize if you came united with one spokesperson and were all in agreement, you far outnumber any other group. But we cannot take you seriously, because you are all saying different things! There is no unity in your requests and no one spokesperson for the twelve million Christians Australia-wide, therefore your infighting weakens your impact to make any change.”

There is something tangible flowing from Heaven to earth that knits hearts together as one, and it overrides our differences. Let us look to Jesus, forgive one another, bless one another and allow love to cover everything else.

If not for our sake, then for the sake of Jesus who asked the Father for this oneness, that came to us by the Holy Spirit. And especially right now, for the sake of the unborn and the future generations. When we are one, the Lord commands a blessing, and children are a blessing from the Lord!

Worship:

Watch:

Prayer: Lord, thank You for hiding us under the wings of Your mercy. We confess our sins against You where we have lived individual lives and kept individual churches. We repent for when we have not entered fully into all You have for us to be one, just as Jesus and You, Father, are one. Let Your oil of unity flow throughout Your Body of Believers like we have never known before. May it soften hardness of heart and release a heavenly fragrance of pure love and forgiveness that brings change to our nation. Let love flow and shift our hearts to line up with Your heart for the unborn everywhere. In Your powerful and redeeming Name Jesus, Amen.

Prayer for the elected Members of Parliament:
Father, we unite in prayer and lift up Dr Richard Manuel Harvey, member for the electorate of Newland and the Liberal Party. Thank you Lord for Richard’s carefully considered opposition to the Bill to decriminalise prostitution. We ask that You bring to Richard all of the information that You know he needs to hear, to exercise the same care in relation to the abortion-to-birth Bill and oppose it. Lead many in his electorate to be courageous and share the devastating truth of late-term abortion.

We also pray for Ms Katrine Anne Hildyard, member for the electorate of Reynell for the Labor Party. We give thanks for Katrine’s concern for needy women and children; Lord, we ask that You open the eyes to her heart to see that supporting late-term abortion will never be the answer. True help is to support pregnant women to keep their children; this revelation will move her to oppose the abortion reform Bill.

In the precious Name of Jesus, Amen.

Prayer Points:

  • Repent for division in our hearts towards those who are in the Body of Christ, our true family.
  • Ask the Father that we be one, just as Jesus and the Father are one, so that the world may know He sent Him.
  • May all the things that unite us be strengthened, and the love shed abroad in us deepen.
  • Declare the church is maturing into perfected and completed oneness, to be of one accord especially on behalf of the unborn. We thank the Lord for the incredible turnout for the Sydney pro-life march – let it happen again in Adelaide on February 8.
  • Plead with God, bind, loose, legislate, decree on behalf of the unborn, together with thousands of other Christians in answer to this call.

Spend time today listening to the Lord, and pray what is on His Heart.

His mercy endures forever!

Today we stand together as one in prayer and fasting for grace to:

  • STOP the Greens Abortion Reform Bill from being passed in South Australia’s Parliament.
  • Bring radical amendments to the existing Abortion Law in favour of life for the unborn and safeguards for mothers.
  • Push Back and eventually STOP Abortion in every state and territory in Australia.
  • SHIFT the culture of this Nation to the Kingdom of Heaven with Mercy, Peace, Righteousness and Justice on earth as it is in Heaven.
