Day 16: The Power of Love

Intention
God’s love is the most powerful force in the universe, and it is God’s love that enables us to win souls for His kingdom.

Scripture

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”John 3:16-17

“In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”1 John 4:9-10

Reflection
There is no power in the universe more powerful than the love of God. The love of God brings the dead to life, it makes orphans into sons and daughters, and it restores what is broken to wholeness. The love of God knows no end, it has no limit, it heals and transforms, it creates and builds, and it sets hearts on fire to burn with passion and conviction.

God is Love, and He is eternal. Love cannot be separated from God. The sooner we can get a real heart-revelation of God’s love towards us, the sooner we will be able to walk in the fullness of all His promises and the victory and freedom He has won for us.

Propitiation is a theological term that means to win back to a position of favour. This means Jesus is not only the manifestation (demonstration, expression, revelation) of God’s love towards us—but also that His life was the price that had to be paid so that we could enter into that love and give our love back to God.

Jesus is our access to relationship with God. He loves us regardless, but it is only through Jesus that we can partake of the blessings that come with His love.

How do we continue to in live in the revelation of His amazing love? Psalm 91:1 says, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” We are able to live in this revelation through intimacy with God; listening and praying God’s Word back to him.

We can also continue to live in the revelation of God’s love through prayer, through the precious Word of God, and through spending quality time with Him.

This is the time to dig deep into God to know “the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” (Ephesians 3:19). When we carry the heart of God into our cities, the outcome is always souls won for His Kingdom.

Prayer
Thank you Father that I am saturated with Your love, and that I carry Your love wherever go. Thank you that I am an ambassador of Your love and faith carrying the message of salvation to my city and nation. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
