Rugby Australia Finds a Voice It Likes
Rugby Australia has become the latest sporting code to announce their support for an Indigenous Voice to Parliament.
However, the “last time” they decided to get involved in politics it was to “shut down the voice” of Israel Folau, says Sky News Australia host James Macpherson.
“Suddenly a footballer’s opinion about the afterlife created more outrage at Rugby headquarters than the fact that Australia hadn’t won a Rugby World Cup in decades,” Mr Macpherson said.
“So Rugby Australia acted at the behest of sponsors to rid themselves of their best player in what became a publicity and legal nightmare, costing the code millions in lawyers’ fees and many more millions in a settlement with Folau.”
“So you’d think Rugby Australia might have learnt to stay out of politics.”

Australia is now a place in which thousands of people openly support a terrorist by flaunting modified images of terrorists and terror symbols. While police insisted pro-Palestinian protestors had not done enough to be charged with supporting a terror group, Hezbollah praised protestors for their support.

Hi James,
Just one thing. As the scripture is Holy Writ, God breathed, written under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, then surely quoting it or making reference to it as Israel Folau did in this case cannot be called an opinion? It must be more than that. Would that be right? Ed
