Where Has Gladys Gone?
I can’t think of a more pathetic display of non-leadership than that of Premier Gladys Berejiklian and her Deputy John Barilaro regarding the ‘Reproductive Rights Bill’ currently before the NSW Parliament. In fact, it’s nothing other than total political cowardice because neither person is going to speak in the debate even though they have both indicated that they will be voting for the Bill. As Linda Silmalis, the Chief Political Reporter for The Sunday Telegraph, tweeted:

Many people are mistaken in viewing this as a private members Bill, put forward by the independent Alex Greenwich. According to Andrew Clennell in The Australian,
“… had Mr Greenwich not put forward the legislation, Mr Hazzard [the Health Minister] was set to introduce it himself as a private member’s bill.”
But make no mistake, this piece of legislation is something that has been explicitly facilitated by the government, as the following screenshot proves:

Does the Coalition really believe that they can treat the majority of ‘quiet Australians’ who voted for them recently with such contempt and there not be any electoral consequences in the future? True, Labor and the Greens are no better. But the people of NSW thought they were voting for a conservative government. As Miranda Devine wrote in The Daily Telegraph:
If NSW had wanted a Labor-Greens agenda, we would have voted for Labor and the Greens.
Just two months ago, Australians voted in a Christian conservative prime minister in a campaign marked by a debate on religious freedom. Scott Morrison is more popular today than he was on election day.
But the Berejiklian government has taken the wrong message from the electorate’s vote of faith, seeing it instead as a licence to go woke.
The Premier should be ashamed of herself for hoodwinking the voters of NSW.
What has become painfully clear is that the Liberal leadership is in crisis. And just as they did at the federal level in getting rid of Turnbull, it’s time for NSW to sort itself before they find themselves in opposition. Ms. Silmalis is absolutely correct. It’s a mess. But even more significantly, it’s something they created for themselves.

As a Liberal Party member in Victoria I am embarrassed and disgusted that NSW is passing this Abortion/Baby Murder legislation. Shame on the Premier and her leadership for firstly allowing a non-party MP to push this Bill then to support it, squash dissent and then push it through!
I am very ashamed to live in NSW right now. I feel let down by the government and their blatant disregard for the lives of all the unborn now facing death. I will not be voting for them in the next election.
Sad and disappointed.
It is a shameful abuse of trust and conservative voters have been completely hoodwinked. Apparently 23 coalition members voted against the bill so how on earth did this become part of the agenda with senior (?) liberals co-sponsoring. I note that Mark Latham is suggesting a backroom deal may have been done in the lead up to the election with Mr Greenwich, in the event of the premier having to form a minority government, if things didn’t go well at the ballot box and this theory is completely consistent with what has transpired.
I foreshadow that there will be a leadership challenge in the not too distant future and it can’t come soon enough.
The prolife voters in NSW have been betrayed and the Liberal Party, both State and Federal will feel the consequences
To deliberately stab a woman with intent to kill an unborn is murder, but if a Doctor does it it is not??
For a person to stab a woman with the intent to kill the unborn is murder; if a Doctor. does it by caesarean to kill the baby it is legal??
Outraged
I will be very upset if this abortion bill passes many babies will die ,I feel betrayed by the nsw liberal party, I will not be voting liberal again if this abortion bill passes. Shame on you Gladys Berejiklian for supporting it.
I agree, shame on Gladys Berejiklian , I am appalled. No use asking God for rain while you kill babies.
I am disgusted and appalled about the NSW Liberal parting regarding this abortion bill. If you think there will be no consequences to your murderous action, YOU ARE WRONG. My family and I (8 of us) will definitely not be voting for you at the next election if this Bill goes through. STAND UP FOR THESE INOCENT CHILDREN. STAND UP TO THE MINORITY BULLIES THAT SEEM TO INTIMIDATE YOU. BE STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE AND DO THE RIGHT THING. CHOOSE LIFE NOT DEATH.
otherwise THE BABIES BLOOD WILL BE ON YOU HANDS AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO WASH IT OFF.
YOU WILL REAP WHAT YOU SOW.
