39 Days of Mercy: Day 4 – Ambassadors for Christ
His Life Through Us
“My old identity has been co-crucified with the Messiah and no longer lives; for the nails of His cross crucified me with Him. And now the essence of this new life is no longer mine, for the Anointed One lives His life through me—we live in union as one! My new life is empowered by the faith of the Son of God who loves me so much that He gave Himself for me, and dispenses His life into mine!
~ Galatians 2:20 TPT
We have a great privilege and responsibility to represent the King of Kings in our new life in Him. We would do well to study the gospels again with this thought in mind — Do my words, thoughts and actions truly represent Jesus, or do I need some things shifted?
Be Reconciled to God
We are ambassadors for Christ, therefore our cause and opinions must line up with His words, His attitudes and His Kingdom.
“Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us:
we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.
For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us,
that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
~ 2 Corinthians 5:17-21 NKJV
He is pleading through us for the world to be reconciled to Him. We are to not stand in judgement, but we have the ministry of reconciliation, which requires both wisdom and power to shift the things that are not of Heaven’s Kingdom. It requires drawing near and listening to what the Spirit of God is saying in every situation.
We carry powerful life-changing truth that speaks through us and can shift paradigms of thinking as we share the heart of God on this Abortion issue. Sometimes overtly, other times covertly. Most people have little or no idea of the consequences of these bills as they have been presented — until someone informs them. As Christ’s ambassadors, when we share with others, wisdom is paramount. We need to be fully informed ourselves, and come equipped to speak with grace.
Listen to Wisdom
Wisdom says: “Never forget the things that I’ve taught you.
Follow closely every truth that I’ve given you. …
Hold on to loyal love and don’t let go, and be faithful to all that you’ve been taught.
Let your life be shaped by integrity, with truth written upon your heart.
That’s how you will find favor and understanding with both God and men —
you will gain the reputation of living life well.”
~ Proverbs 3:1-4 TPT
Prayer: Father, we thank You that grace abounds to us. Lord, when we Your people speak to others from our hearts, may we represent You. May we bring forth Your truth and light to illuminate the issue in a relational way that also invites others to share their hearts. May we be full of Your love, the love that always believes, always protects, and that covers a multitude of sins and never fails. May conviction and conscience be awakened over Australia to the devastation of Abortion. Lord, this is so far from Your heart and character; Lord, bring this nation back to You. May we be given opportunities and favour as we go. Lord, empower our prayers of faith as we take this mountain of legalised Abortion, cast it into the sea and let it be no more! In Jesus’ Mighty Name we pray. Amen.
Worship:
[Encouragement to pray]Prayer Points:
-
We ask for Australia’s hearts and minds to be awakened to the truth of these bills, for things hidden to come into the light. May those politicians who have the power to stop the bills do so by coming into a deep conviction and understanding. This bill would allow abortion to birth for virtually any reason. Pray for a reduction of the SA legal abortion for any reason from 28 to at least 24 weeks as a child is viable outside the womb, to begin the pushback.
-
Ask the Lord to awaken multitudes to stop the radical Abortion Law reform Bill in SA.
-
Lord, have mercy on our land and forgive us, hide your people in Your secret place (Psalm 91) as we speak about this issue with people, give courage, wisdom and effective strategy.
-
We ask You to open doors, and for wisdom and grace to represent You effectively as we contact parliamentarians and others concerning the Abortion Bills in SA.
-
This week Lord, set up divine appointments for contact with those who will make a difference to save lives of the unborn, and make shifts in every sphere of influence for a Pro-life attitude. Turn the tide of abortion from death to life by the blood of the Lamb.
-
Lord, may You supernaturally and naturally strengthen the Pro-Life case in this Nation.
His mercy endures forever!
Today we stand together as one in prayer and fasting for grace to:
- STOP the Greens Abortion Reform Bill from being passed in South Australia’s Parliament.
- Bring radical amendments to the existing Abortion Law in favour of life for the unborn and safeguards for mothers.
- Push Back and eventually STOP Abortion in every state and territory in Australia.
- SHIFT the culture of this Nation to the Kingdom of Heaven with Mercy, Peace, Righteousness and Justice on earth as it is in Heaven.
