Today We Thank the Lord our God for Australia!
As followers of Jesus Christ, we recognize that Heaven is described as having many people worshipping from every nation, from every tribe, people and languages. We can ask for this to be manifested in Australia. That as a diverse people, we would all bow before the King of Kings and worship the Lamb who was slain.

We long to see a mighty move of the Holy Spirit to touch hearts throughout the nation to receive the Lord Jesus, to enter into His new covenant being bought with the highest price, His own blood. Massive transformation of minds by the Word of God. Then abortion and every abomination would be forsaken, and His righteousness, joy and peace be established. How?

“If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves,
pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face
and turn from their wicked ways,
then will I hear from Heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.
Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer offered in this place.”
~ 2 Chronicles 7:14-15 AMPC

This oft-quoted verse, recorded as the Lord spoke to Solomon, is often prayed as a cry for the Lord to heal our land. Again, we are observant to the words of the Lord giving us a blueprint for healing of our land.

“If My people, who are called by My name” – The Lord is asking His people, His own prized possession who are called by His Name – they are the ones He has called and equipped with His Name to present themselves to Him and to be obedient to His protocols.

“shall humble themselves, pray,” – To bow low before our King and pray is such an honour and privilege – such amazing grace that we can be heard by our Heavenly Father. Prayer is precious and powerful, it is a grace and a great gift!

“For it is written, As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God [acknowledge Him to His honor and to His praise].”

“seek, crave, and require of necessity My face” – Sadly, when people quote this passage, they often omit “Seek My face” as they are focused on the ‘doing’ of this passage… but He longs for us to seek His face, and when we seek, we realize how much we are cherished and accepted in the Beloved.
We begin to see the truth of His sacrifice and understand a little of the depths of His heart – it is our hunger, our desire to draw near to Him. If we focus and linger in our seeking, He is delighted.

“But the hour is coming, and now is when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
~ John 4:23-24 NKJV

“and turn from their wicked ways,” – It is vital to repent and take responsibility for the ways we have kept our distance, and not led our cities in the needed reformation. Where we have turned a blind eye to evil, and doubted that we can change things. We have become dull of hearing the heartbeat of God in the cries of the unborn and their imminent destruction.
Repentance is turning and going in a new direction – face the giants and say,
“Who are you uncircumcised Philistine to come against the living God?”
Use what is in your hand, and how He has trained you to slay the lion and the bear, and this giant will topple. (A stone represents a WORD going forth.)

“then will I hear from heaven,” – He heard, He hears, He will always hear the cry of a penitent humble heart. He loves to bend low to hear even the faintest sigh – He collects our prayers in bowls in heaven, the prayers of the saints – His redeemed are heard! (Rev 5:8)

“forgive their sin,” – Jesus forgave us all for all time as He hung on the cross; He became sin so we might become the righteousness of God in Christ – what mercy flows from this sacrifice! This place of freedom in Christ is from where we go out, to do greater works because He has gone to the Father.

“and heal their land.” – We now see Australia whole and blessed, a holy Nation worshipping with one sound of adoration for Jesus. When the land is healed from the shedding of innocent blood, and all the iniquity and trespass has been fully dealt with, Australia becomes a blood-washed righteous Light to the world. People from every tongue, tribe and nation, all calling Australia home, worship the Lamb Who was slain! Laws to abort our offspring abolished, every high place torn down, every evil seed planted uprooted, and our generations coming forth knowing the Lord and worshipping Him alone.

“Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer offered in this place.” – the Lord Himself blessing our nation – as we ask, it will be given.

After this I looked and a vast host appeared which no one could count,[gathered out] of every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages.
These stood before the throne and before the Lamb;
they were attired in white robes, with palm branches in their hands.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, thank You for our beautiful nation – thank You that You created it, and kept it for Yourself. Thank You that the First Nations Peoples, right through to the most recent immigrant to become an Australian citizen today, and everyone dwelling here, that each has the opportunity to draw near to You, and seek You and find You.
Thank You for the blood of the Lamb poured out to wash Australia clean today. Heal this land Lord, of all the wounds and wickedness of the past and current generations. Lord, remove fear, remove anger, remove blame, remove shame this day. May we all who pray and sleep under the “Southern Cross” dream of, and see, the fulfilment of every knee bowing and every tongue confessing that You Jesus are Lord, and You are King of this Great Land, Australia.
We welcome You, Holy Spirit, to flow through this land, and fulfill the desires of Jesus to see Australia fulfill her call. Come heal our land! Heal our land from every wickedness, affliction, suffering, injustice, bloodguilt, lawlessness and evil practice. Heal every broken heart and broken covenant. Heal every broken body. Heal our economy, our communities, our neighborhoods, homes and families. Heal relationships with You and with each other. Lord, let the Spirit of the fear of the Lord and the gift of repentance flood our land. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer for the elected Members of Parliament:
Today we pray for Ms Paula Maria Luethen, Member for the electorate of King and Member of the Liberal Party. We thank God for Paula’s willingness to listen in relation to the decriminalisation of prostitution bill and pray that she would have the same attitude in relation to the abortion to birth bill and vote against it.
Today we also pray for Mr Philip Nicholas (Nick) McBride, Member for the electorate of MacKillop and Member of the Liberal Party. We pray that Nick would listen to his constituents in a conservative electorate and vote against the abortion-to-birth Bill. Spirit of Truth, speak clearly to these politicians, and lead them in wisdom and favour, to bring a shift in favour of stopping this bill.
