Intention
We continue to stand as one with our First Nation people to see the defeat of ancient strongholds and the healing of our land.

Scripture

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

Reflection
The National Solemn Assembly was a historic marker in God’s prophetic timeline for our nation, bringing about a significant spiritual shift. I was drawn each day to the International Prayer Room led by the Global Watch, set up to concurrently uphold the Solemn Assembly in prayer.

Experienced prayer leaders from the USA, Iran, Uganda, Herrnhut in Germany, Israel, New Zealand, Spain and the United Kingdom led intercessors who joined us from around the world. There was great awareness of the significance of our indigenous leaders calling our nation to repentance and forgiveness. They wanted to be part of it, seeing it as an encouragement to First Nation people around the world, to call their nations back to God.

As the hours went by and prophetic words flowed, it was obvious that the Lord was calling Australia to go through the new gate in front of us, and not return to old ways of thinking and doing. A new gate of righteousness was opening up to us as part of our prophetic destiny!

In 1998, the British Reconciliation team led by Brian Mills visited our shores to repent of the sins of Britain towards our nation. One afternoon they visited the Fountain of Tears in the Adelaide Hills, where there is a beautiful sculpture of an Aboriginal woman weeping for her stolen children. As we gathered to pray, the burden of God’s heart seemed to come upon me, and in great anguish of travail I released a prophetic word from the Lord.

“You go in there! You go into their pain! You go into their suffering! You break the shackles! You break the chains! For not until you go in and not until you do that in My Name will I release you as a nation. I love these people so much I will not bypass them. I will not look the other way. I give you notice Australia. You lay down your lives and you go in there for Me! Into the darkness… you go in there in My Name.”

The Lord spoke of breaking shame off His First Nation people, granting them the keys of the Kingdom and giving them His robes of righteousness. Brian Mills later recorded in his book Fountain of Tears a word given to him that day, that if we did not obey the Lord and stand with the Aboriginal people, we would all miss what God planned for Australia.

Since that day, the Lord has raised up mighty warriors amongst our First Nation people, men and women who understand the spiritual battle over our nation, and who are warring against the spirit of death and destruction attacking their young people. We are called to stand with them as one in Christ’s overcoming victorious army.

Prayer
We thank You Father for Your great love for our nation. With gratitude in our hearts, we thank You for the courage You gave to our First Nation apostolic leaders to rise up and lead the National Solemn Assembly. We thank You for the fulfilment of prophetic words given to previous generations, and we look to You to equip and empower us in the spiritual battle against the unseen forces, wickedness in high places that are manifesting against Your Kingdom in our nation. We stand together as a united army led by the Captain of the host, Jesus Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. To Him belongs the victory. Amen.

3. Pray for new POLITICIANS for LIFE, especially pray for the upcoming elections in Queensland (31st October), ACT (17th October) + USA (3 November) & New Zealand (17 October). Proverbs 29:2
4. Pray for the Revitalisation of SPIRITUAL LIFE, namely repentance, renewal & transformation, that our nation might return to God. 2 Chronicles 7:14
