Days of Holiness ~ Day 11: Hearts Strengthened
In these 37 Days of Holiness we are living in unprecedented times, where things unimagined in past decades in Australia are being established with seemingly little resistance. Fifty one years ago, Attorney-General Robin Millhouse QC put forward a Bill to legalise abortion in South Australia, which was then duplicated around the nation.
At the time, it was assured to the large crowd of very concerned medical professionals, lawyers and church leaders and others gathered in the Adelaide Town Hall that this bill would never be for anything but to save a mother’s life in extreme cases.
Statistically, over 95% of abortions now in Australia are for the ‘mental health’ of the mother. The bill is now set to be ‘modernised’ by Attorney-General Vicki Chapman, and like other states that have had a ‘modernised bill’ passed, it allows abortion up to birth for any reason.
In today’s word, Paul is praying for an increase in love, until their hearts overflow to one another in the church and to all people.
“Now may our Father God and our precious Lord Jesus the Anointed One
guide our steps on a path straight back to you.
And may the Lord increase your love until it overflows toward one another
and for all people, just as our love overflows toward you.
Then your hearts will be strengthened in holiness
so that you may be flawless and pure before the face of our God and Father
at the appearing of our Lord Jesus with all His holy ones. Amen!”
~ 1 Thessalonians 3:11-13 (TPT)
Let us Pray:
Heavenly Father, we worship You in the beauty of Your holiness — You are so great! Thank You for Your provision for us in these days. We ask for You to guide the steps of Your people. Lord, we ask like Paul that You would increase the love we have for You, and that it overflows to each other, and for all people.
May our hearts be strengthened in holiness — Lord, send a tsunami of Your love to Your church — that we may be in union with You, Spirit of Holiness, that we may be able to stand against these shifts in our society with courage and wisdom to overcome for the sake of the innocent unborn of our nation.
Thank You for the groundswell of those who stood in December and spoke out to stop the Upper House voting for this tragic bill. Now, Lord, we ask for grace to help defeat the Termination of Pregnancy Bill 2020 due to be read in the Lower House in a few weeks.
Lord, let truth be heard by those who have been placed in positions to vote on this bill and cause many to refuse to align with death of the unborn for any reason. Lord, in all the issues faced by Your people, we thank You for mercy and Your power to deliver us from evil. We lift these prayers to You in the perfect name of Jesus Christ, Yeshua. Amen.

Abundant grace to you as we continue in prayer and fasting according to Mark 9:29 ~
He answered them, “This type of powerful spirit can only be cast out by fasting and prayer.”
Points for Prayer ~ pray for:
- South Australia’s Lower House to vote no to this bill
and take courage to defeat the Termination of Pregnancy Bill 2020 early this year! - For the Walk for Life, February 6th 2021 in Adelaide, South Australia;
for volunteers and marshalls, for no COVID before, during or after it. - For our future generations to be rescued from the horror of death through abortion!
Let the spirit of adoption enter the hearts of those considering abortion,
to carry to full term and save their child’s life. - For greater numbers of believers in Jesus to stand for life and rise up in wisdom and courage to take action needed and speak for the voiceless.
- For the church to become a haven of hope and help for those with unplanned pregnancies.
To send the intended influential message to our politicians
that South Australians DO NOT want legalised abortion up to birth,
we need thousands of people on the WALK for LIFE!
It will take each of us to SPREAD THE WORD through all our networks!
