39 Days of Mercy: Day 21 – The Church is the Solution

The Church is the Solution

Four to five million Australians don’t exist in our nation today, because of legalised abortion! They would be aged fifty years right through to newborns. We legally destroyed a multitude of people. They carried a myriad of incredible destinies in God.

There may have been solutionists, perhaps those who could have discovered ways to turn our deserts into abundant food production; maybe some were destined to be great evangelists bringing hundreds of thousands to salvation – so many lives destroyed before they were lived.

Abortions are so numerous that they outweigh all the Australians who have died from the wars and car accidents and virtually any other cause of death. The womb is the least safe place to be in this nation. Have we as the church become so culturally accustomed to abortion being something that people do, that gradualism has hardened our hearts? Is this the love that has grown cold?

I will Build My Legislative Assembly

Jesus is building His Church, with the wisdom and grace given from above; we are the legislative assembly of believers, and the power of death will not be able to overpower us.

Simon Peter spoke up and said, “You are the Anointed One, the Son of the living God!”

Jesus replied, “You are favoured and privileged Simeon, son of Jonah! For you didn’t discover this on your own, but my Father in heaven has supernaturally revealed it to you. I give you the name Peter, a stone. And this truth of who I am will be the bedrock foundation on which I will build my church—my legislative assembly, and the power of death will not be able to overpower it! I will give you the keys of Heaven’s kingdom realm to forbid on earth that which is forbidden in heaven, and to release on earth that which is released in Heaven.”
~ Matthew 16: 17-19 TPT

The Greek word for “church” is ekklesia and means “legislative assembly” or “selected ones.” This is not a religious term at all, but a political and governmental term that is used many times in classical Greek for a group of people who have been summoned and gathered together to govern the affairs of a city.

For Jesus to use this term means He is giving the keys of governmental authority in His kingdom to the church – and that the church is to bring a shift in culture to Kingdom culture on the earth (as it is in Heaven).

Jesus spoke this truth standing at the most vile, demonic place of idolatry and debauchery at that time, literally the gates of Hades (Caesarea Philippi), revealing to His disciples that He will build His church that will not be overpowered by these powers of darkness, or be able to hold out against her. It’s time we stepped up to fulfil this role as the governing Ekklesia.

The Lord is teaching His people how to continue to pray in ways to shift our Nation.

They conquered him completely through the blood of the Lamb and the powerful word of his testimony. They triumphed because they did not love and cling to their own lives, even when faced with death.
~ Revelation 12:11

Worship:

Prayer: Lord, we as Your church confess our sin of being lukewarm to Your heart towards bearing children, and by saying nothing and believing we are powerless, we have unknowingly given power to the enemy. We repent and ask that You will align us afresh with Your kingdom ways of agreement with Your heart and Your word, to do what we can to stop the radical abortions in this nation.

Lord, in Your powerful truth, reveal every part of these bills that You want to expose, so every Australian becomes aware of the true situation. Open up the floodgate of testimonies of Jesus that women and others need to hear. Provide a way of escape when faced with the news of unplanned pregnancies. Remove the veils from the eyes of those who need to see clearly, and awaken the gift of repentance that leads to freedom, forgiveness and salvation.

Lord, raise up Your legislative assembly of believers; inspire us as one to pray the prayers to shift and stop these bills. Fortify Your people to be vigilant and relentless in pursuit of lives being preserved in our Nation.

Prayer for the elected Members of Parliament:

We join together in prayer and lift up Ms Natalie Fleur Cook, member for the electorate of Hurtle Vale for the Labor Party. We bless Nat and thank you God for her concern for those struggling with life, as reflected in her campaign against domestic violence. We ask that You bring divine revelation to Nat and reveal to her the link between domestic violence and abortion. May she hear testimony of courageous women making her realise that many women are coerced directly or by the pro-abortion system to have an abortion. We pray that the truth of the violence that is present in every abortion procedure causes her to rise and defend the defenseless and vote against the Bill.

Father, we thank You for OAM Mr Matthew John Cowdrey, member for the electorate of Colton and the Liberal Party. Matt’s clear ‘No’ vote against the decriminalisation of prostitution was a blessing, and we ask that You empower him to vote again for righteousness against the abortion to birth Bill. We give thanks for Matt’s courageous nature displayed in his outstanding Paralympics achievements. We pray that he inspires more young men and women to enter Parliament and guide SA in the way of life.

In Jesus’ Name, by which every knee shall bow and every tongue confess You are Lord, Amen.

Points for Prayer:

The Abortion Reform Bill SA:

Pray to stop the following:

  • Abortion on demand up to 28 weeks in SA;

  • Abortion between 28 weeks and up to the day of birth, when two doctors agree that, “in all the circumstances” the abortion should be performed. “Circumstances” that must be considered include “current and future physical, psychological and social circumstances”.

  • Doctors will be forced to take part in the abortion, or refer to another Doctor who will. Conscientious objection would not be permitted;

  • Sex-selective abortion (which may have already resulted in the deaths of Over 23 Million Girls worldwide);

  • No cooling-off period.

  • 150 metre exclusion Zones for anyone wanting to approach a woman/man going into an Abortion Centre;

  • Selling Medical Abortions that will be available “over the counter”, especially for women in rural and remote regions – not understanding nearly 10 percent of these end in haemorrhaging or other complications and the woman needing a surgical procedure afterwards (something like 82% of those women);
  • Offer of little or no unbiased counselling pre-abortion.

Spend time today listening to the Lord, and pray what is on His Heart.

His mercy endures forever!

Today we stand together as one in prayer and fasting for grace to:

  • STOP the Greens Abortion Reform Bill from being passed in South Australia’s Parliament.
  • Bring radical amendments to the existing Abortion Law in favour of life for the unborn and safeguards for mothers.
  • Push Back and eventually STOP Abortion in every state and territory in Australia.
  • SHIFT the culture of this Nation to the Kingdom of Heaven with Mercy, Peace, Righteousness and Justice on earth as it is in Heaven.
