“’If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.’
Philip said to Him, ‘Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.’
Jesus said to him, ‘Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, “Show us the Father”? Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.’” John 14:7
This generation is the most Fatherless ever. Families have broken down.
It is time for the restoration of Godly Fathers.
Being fathers in the faith is where we all need to get real. This is the natural outworking of relationships in the body of Christ. Without this relational base to our walk with the Lord forget any aspirations to revival etc.
“For though you have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have you not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.” 1 Corinthians 4:8
I would rather have one real father than 10,000 teachers/instructors! We are privileged to have some genuine fathers in the faith. In our most difficult times and when we need these fathers are there for us.
Also, they celebrate our good times and we theirs.
This devotional is a call for fathers and mothers in the faith to rise and turn their hearts to their children. This is the imperative of the last verse of the Old Testament.
Without the reconciliation of generations, reconciliation of intercessors and church leaders, reconciliation of first nations in the land and so forth we cannot really progress.
“And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers, lest I come and strike the earth with a curse.” Malachi 4:6
When the Lord’s reconciliation comes, and we pray, He will move in our land and the nations! Now is the time Malachi 4:6 is being fulfilled. The age of the Church, the Bride without spot or wrinkle is here!
How do we make this happen?
It is very simple! We can start by spending regular time with other Christians, have a meal, or a tea/coffee, talk with each other, and even pray together.
Just be real with each other. As Danny Silk said “If you minister to someone, they might feel loved. If you love someone they will be ministered to.”
In other words, don’t try to be ‘spiritual’ just be a friend first. Everything else will flow from loving each other, especially the orphans that surround us.
Papa God! We ask for the father-less generation, we ask that we rise as fathers in the faith in a very real way to those who are broken and alone.
Let us be good fathers to this generation, and that they become fathers to the next generation.
Turn out hearts to you and the many orphans around us.

The Respect for Marriage Act currently before Congress would enforce not only the acceptance of same-sex unions, but also "marriages" with multiple partners. This would further erode the right of children to be raised by their mother and father in a stable, faithful long-term relationship. [...]
Surely offence and insult are in the eye of the beholder! Gender identity is a protected trait in Tasmania. This means it is illegal to discriminate against someone because they identify differently from their biological sex. And incredibly, it is illegal to offend or insult [...]
Queen Elizabeth II is a wonderful role model for strong and steady leadership. Her life bears lessons for all parents, who must lead their families. If you are like me, you will have been staggered by how many people loved the Queen. I have always [...]
An exhortation to join together in fervent intercessory prayer for Victoria as their state election approaches. The Lord recently challenged me with these words: “Am I my brother's keeper?” As I looked into these words in relation to the Victorian Election, I feel He has [...]
The overblown celebration of former AFL coach Dean Laidley as glamorous Dani at the Brownlows strikes one as hollow praise. The problem with Western culture is not that we lack compassion, but that we have too much. It is commendable that the AFL community embraces [...]
The madness is now complete. Mainstream media has been fawning embarrassingly over the transformation of Dean Laidley into Dani. There are consequences for vulnerable youth who see this adulation of a sports star embracing the transgender lie. In a recent article, I spoke of the [...]
