Family First to Contest November Victorian Election, Led by Lyle Shelton
The Victorian Electoral Commission has officially confirmed Family First’s registration in time for the November election. Lyle Shelton, the party’s National Director, welcomed the news.
In a media release today, the newly re-launched Family First party has announced that it will contest the Victorian state election in November. The news comes after the Victorian Electoral Commission confirmed that the party qualifies for registration in the state.

Lyle Shelton, who joined the party as its National Director back in May, said his party was focused on “one thing”.
“Who will protect Victorian families from the threat of radical political correctness?”
Goals
He blamed the major parties for compromising on important social and moral issues and promised that Family First will present itself as a “bold and uncompromising” alternative:
“Victorian families have been let down by the major parties who continually cave into the left-wing, anti-family agendas of fringe players like the Greens and Reason Parties. Family First candidates will raise a bold and uncompromising voice for faith, life and family.”
According to the party’s media release, candidates will be announced soon:
“Mr Shelton said Family First would be announcing its first Victorian candidates in the coming days. The party will campaign against the indoctrination of kids into radical gender ideologies, for the repeal of Victoria’s dangerous euthanasia legislation, and for the protection of religious liberty.”
Current State of Affairs
In the lead-up to the Victorian election, I have had the privilege of talking to a number of insiders about the situation in Victoria.
Most recently, I spoke with Geoff Shaw, an author and former MP, about his book exposing Victorian Premier Dan Andrews’ record in the state.
Before that, I was joined by Hon. Bernie Finn, the parliamentary leader of the pro-family Democratic Labour Party in Victoria. Bernie was ousted from the Victorian Liberal Party for his pro-life views, so I spoke with him about that and got his perspective on the pre-election situation. He made some dire warnings.
In late August, I also had the privilege of talking to Lyle Shelton about his appointment as National Director of Family First. We also discussed the political and cultural outlook for Christians in modern Australia.
Each of these interviews is well worth listening to and sharing, particularly if you are from — or know someone from — Victoria.

Thanks Cody. Lyle’s tenacity and determination is inspired by God I believe. What we in Aus are currently facing is chilling so the completion of this step in the process is welcome news.
It certainly is, Kaylene!
