The Biggest-Ever Launch of a Faith Film: Jesus Revolution!
Jesus Revolution began screening in Australian cinemas on Thursday, but it’s already had a big impact. It launched in over 160 theatres – which is double the normal number for a faith film. It’s the biggest-ever launch of a faith film in Australia!
On its opening day, the movie ranked as the number nine top cinema showing in Australia and number seven in New Zealand!

The Canberra Declaration had the enormous privilege of interviewing Jon Erwin, the producer of the Jesus Revolution.
In the interview, he discusses his calling to use film as a medium to inspire people with faith stories, how the idea for Jesus Revolution came about, how Pastor Greg Laurie baptised a cast member on set while filming at Pirates’ Cove, California, and much more. You can watch his interview here:
Erwin is the first filmmaker in cinematic history to achieve four A+ Cinema Scores – a rating given by fans to major feature film releases on their opening night. Audiences truly love this film.
